Content: 5 hours of online modules – provided in a timely sequence to review in preparation for each module’s live training & coaching session.
Training& Coaching: 6 hours of live online training and coaching. Sessions scheduled for Mondays, weeks 2, 5, and 8 in Term 3 & 4.
Plan: Training delivered over two terms. Sessions scheduled for Mondays, weeks 2, 5, and 8 in Term 3 & 4, 2023.
Flexibility: Two session times available. Choose either 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm OR 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm depending on your schedule and availability.

Communication and tracking (pre/ during learning/ Tracking progress, share with parents).
Before applying, discuss the PLD you are interested in with your supervisor to ensure it meets the criteria. You will need to seek approval from your principal, tumuaki or supervisor- whatever is appropriate in your setting.
You will need to set up an Education Sector Logon (ESL) and fill in the online application form. You will need: a. The email address of the person approving the PLD. b. Your Ministry employee number and your school number (which you can find on your pay slip)
Apply for the funding for your PLD through the online form. Choose "Set Category" from the following application type options:
· Set Category
· Open Category
· Self-directed Inquiry
The Ministry of Education receives and processes your application.
When your application is approved, you and your approver will receive notification of approval. Approvers will be asked to contact the Ministry if they do not endorse the original application.
Your approval notification will include your application reference number.
If there are any details which are incorrect in your application, please notify the Ministry as soon as possible so that they can be corrected.
Once the Ministry has approved your application, you can click the green register now button for the Certified Digital Teacher Aide course and complete your details. These must include:
· your application reference number as confirmation of your funding and
· a copy of your application approval confirmation email (as requested)
Upon completion of the Certified Digital Teacher Aide course, your school or kura will be reimbursed for your attendance time (wage costs) incurred for you as recorded in your application.
I really enjoyed the accessibility tools. Having the presentations recorded and shared means we can share with absent staff and also revise what we went through as we may well forget some of the features that were shared with us.
