02
Ideate
Brainstorm with Canva Whiteboards + AI. Choose one idea and storyboard it.
03
Create
Build an interactive app with Canva AI + Canva Code. Input → Interaction → Output.
04

Responsible AI

The thinking must be yours.

Four steps every team follows. AI helps. You decide.

01
ASK
What are you asking the AI, and why?
02
CHECK
Is the output accurate, safe, appropriate?
03
IMPROVE
Refine the prompt, content or solution.
04
DECIDE
Make the final call yourself. Own it.

10 · FAQ

Answers to the questions you're about to ask.

Can a teacher mentor guide more than one team? +

Yes. A mentor may guide multiple teams from the same school. But ideas, development and pitching must be executed by the students, not the mentor.

Can we use AI to generate the whole project? +

No. AI is a tool to help you think, not think for you. Every team keeps an AI Journey Log showing ASK → CHECK → IMPROVE → DECIDE. Judges will check that the thinking is yours.

Do we need to pay for Canva? +

No. Canva for Education is provided free to participating MOE schools, teachers and students. No fees to enter.

How are MBPK categories judged? +

Category B and D use the same core rubric, adapted reasonably for capability, support needs and communication style. Special-education expertise sits on the judging panel.

Is the National Final in person or online? +

To be confirmed. Both formats are on the table; the organiser will announce the final format ahead of the 28–30 September window.

What do we actually submit? +

A working Canva app, the Canva link, a digital poster, a slide deck, your AI Journey Log, user-testing evidence, a 3-minute demo video, and a signed Project Authenticity Declaration.
