The custom number format allows you to have text and numbers in the same cell in a Google Sheet. This adds visual clarity to your spreadsheet and helps the user enter data. Calculations are still possible as Google Sheets ignores the text you have entered and uses the numerical data in the cell.
Using Google Blogger is not only a great way to reflect on your practice but it also offers an efficient way to align samples of your practice with the Teaching Standards. I have seen many teacher blogs which are done on Google Slides or Sites but the awesome thing about Blogger is that you can label your evidence with the Teaching Standards.
One of the watershed moments in my teaching career was when I was reflecting on my struggles with a particularly hard class. This class were close to be uncontrollable and I felt like much of my time was spent being a juvenile justice officer. I felt like I did very little teaching and a lot of disciplining.
As I reflected on those students, it occurred to me, that those students didn’t wake up each morning strategizing how to fail more. They really did want to be successful at something.
So if they wanted to be successful, why were they acting this way?
